Webinar - One WHO for One Health: Tackling health challenges through a holistic lens

8 November 2024 14:00 – 15:30 CET
Virtual meeting

Capitilizing on One Health Day, the OHI team is planning a series of webinars to showcase One Health in practice among different stakeholder groups. By bringing key stakeholders together to share their experience, we hope the webinar series can facilitate strengthened understanding of the importance of One Health, showcase the evidence based One Health governance, highlight the current work around One Health led by different technical programmes in WHO, as well as provide a platform for sharing challenges and opportunities by academia, and much more.

Objectives

WHO has long championed the One Health approach, leading concerted efforts to achieve better public health outcomes and promote health at all levels.

In this webinar, we will provide an overview of the WHO’s overall efforts on One Health, highlight the One Health implementation in specific technical Programmes and how the One Health approach has been widely used and embraced in different health interventions. Ultimately, this webinar will aim to discuss ways of moving forward on WHO’s leadership and unique contribution in the One Health space.
