Launch of target product profiles for HPV screening tests to detect cervical pre-cancer and cancer

18 November 2024 13:00 – 14:00 CET
Virtual (Zoom)

Join us for the day of action as WHO launches the target product profiles (TPPs) for human papillomavirus (HPV) screening tests to detect cervical pre-cancer and cancer!

Cervical cancer is both preventable and curable; yet many women around the world still lack access to the advanced tools and technologies that drive progress towards elimination. The WHO target product profiles for HPV screening tests aim to guide innovation and motivate test developers and manufacturers to create solutions that meet global health needs to help us reach the global target of 70% screening coverage with high-performance tests in communities everywhere. The TPPs include considerations for both laboratory and point-of-care testing.

In this webinar, health care providers, policy-makers, innovators, and women who have been screened with HPV will come together for a first look at the new WHO target product profiles for HPV screening tests. Listen to experiences from clinicians, end-users, and policy-makers; and explore some of the emerging HPV test innovations supporting frontline workers to deliver life-saving services to the women who need them most.

Join frontline health workers and learn more about efforts to advance toward the 70% target for screening coverage in your community and beyond.

The event will be held in English, with simultaneous interpretation in Chinese.
