Following the launch of the Global Coalition for Evidence at the Global Evidence Summit in Prague in September 2024, the World Health Organization is organizing a post-launch webinar, which will take place on 28 November 2024, from 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm CET.
The Global Coalition for Evidence responds to the growing demand for robust evidence and stronger evidence-to-decision systems. By fostering collaboration, coordination and consolidation across health and health-related sectors, this partnership aims to integrate different evidence workstreams and support the institutionalization of evidence-informed decision-making (EIDM).
The webinar will:
- Introduce the four initial working groups of the Coalition, which focus on:
1. Understanding EIDM Institutionalization and strengthening national evidence-for-policy systems
2. Integrating different evidence workstreams
3. Setting priorities and promoting research on research use
4. Promoting collaborative learning for linking evidence and decisions
- Include a working session to gather feedback on the working groups’ scope.
- Highlight the next steps in establishing the Coalition, including details about the first call for expressions of interest.
The agenda for the first meeting is available here. Registrations for the webinar are open until 25 November 2024 via this form.
