Women with disabilities globally face high levels of violence. Discrimination, stigma, and misconceptions about disability can increase the vulnerability of women with disabilities to all forms of violence. Data on violence against women with disabilities is lacking, and there are a range of challenges in generating quality, representative data on violence against women with disabilities.
On International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the World Health Organization is hosting a webinar to discuss progress and challenges in measuring violence against women with disabilities.
