On 24 July 2025, the WHO Task Force of AMR Survivors convened a powerful Global Dialogue exploring the critical interface between Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs). This virtual event brought together over 275 participants from around the world, including speakers from WHO, patient advocacy groups, and global health organizations.
The dialogue spotlighted survivor-led advocacy, the need for integrated care models, and equitable access to antimicrobials. It also featured a dynamic panel discussion and the presentation of a draft Call to Action aimed at informing the 2025 UNGA High-Level Meeting on NCDs and Mental Health.
The key themes included breaking down silos between AMR and NCDs, elevating patient voices in global health policy, advancing integrated and people-centered care, and strengthening collaboration across sectors.
