In this webinar we shared the key recommendations and strategies used for laboratory diagnostic testing for Chikungunya virus, as was highlighted in a recently published epidemiological update for Chikungunya and Oropouche virus that included guidance for diagnostic testing from the Pan American Health Organization. We heard from colleagues from Bolivia and China on their country’s strategies for adapting to regional specificities regarding diagnostic testing algorithms for Chikungunya virus.

We welcomed:

Dr Diana Rojas Alvarez (WHO Headquarters)

Dr Jairo Mendez-Rico (WHO Regional Office for the Americas / Pan American Health Organization)

Dr Roxana Loayza (National Center for Tropical Diseases, CENETROP, Bolivia)

Dr Jiandong Li (National Institute for Viral Disease Control and Prevention, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, China)
