The World Health Organization will organize the 3rd edition in Geneva of the “Walk the Talk: Health For All Challenge” on Sunday 22 May, on the morning of the World Health Assembly.
This in-person event will invite participants to run or walk over two routes: 3 km and 4.2 km. People of all ages and abilities will start at Place des Nations from 8.30am.
People around the world are invited to take part in the event by tracking their performances through a dedicated app. By registering, participants will receive a login to take part-in anywhere in the world. More information is coming soon.

WHO hosted its third annual Walk the Talk: The Health for All Challenge as a virtual event on 16 and 17 May 2020. In light of COVID-19, Walk the Talk was offered not just to our local communities, but to the larger global community and was an opportunity to offer an even more global platform to promote health and well-being for people all over the world. The Virtual Walk the Talk invited people to join in with us from their homes, wherever they are located in the world.

Thousands of people took part in the first ever WHO Walk the Talk: The Health for All Challenge, held 22 September, 2019, in Central Park. The event was organized by WHO, the City of New York, and the United Nations. Special guests and speakers included the first lady of New York, Chirlane McCray, the Global Citizen movement, Grammy Award winning musician Ricky Kej, EU Health Commissioner Vytenis Andriukaitis, among others.
The World Health Organization joined with partners and the public from Geneva and around the world to stage the second edition of the “Walk the Talk: The Health for All Challenge” event on Sunday 19 May 2019 in Geneva. The Geneva edition of the Walk the Talk celebrated the importance of health and recognized the vital role that the city of Geneva plays as a hub for global health. More than 5000 people took part in the event.
