Logistics note to participants
9-10 April 2019 ¦ Stockholm, Sweden
1. Venue
9 April: Hotel Hilton Slussen, Guldgränd 8, 104 65, Stockholm
The evening reception will be held at Hotel Hilton Slussen in central Stockholm. Registration is available from 16:00 and the reception starts at 17:00.
Hotel Hilton Slussen is located at the island of Södermalm. There are several convenient ways to reach it from Stockholm City Central Station:
- By taxi, exit the main entrance and walk up to the taxi terminal. Take a 5-minute journey to the hotel.
- By metro, take any train going south (towards Hagsätra/Farsta Strand/Skarpnäck/Fruängen/Norsborg). Step off at the second stop, Slussen Metro Station. Exit the main entrance. The hotel is then reachable by a short walk.
- By foot, the hotel is reachable in 15-20 minutes. Exit the station at the main entrance, walk up to Drottninggatan, take a right and follow the street across Riksdagen and Old Town until you reach the island of Södermalm. The hotel, located to the right of Slussen, can be seen from Old Town’s west quay.
10 April: Fotografiska, Stadsgårdshamnen 22, 116 45, Stockholm
The conference will be held at Fotografiska, the museum of photography in central Stockholm. Buses will be provided between 07:00 and 08:30 from Hotel Hilton Slussen. The conference will start at 09:00. Breakfast will be offered at the venue. Those who would like to initiate discussions among participants are free to arrange breakfast roundtables between 07:45-08:45.
Fotografiska is located on the island of Södermalm. If preferred, there are several convenient ways to reach the museum individually from Hotel Hilton Slussen, Stockholm City Central Station or nearby hotels.
- By foot, the venue is reachable in 5-10 minutes from Slussen. Follow the signs ‘Stadsgårdshamnen’ down to the main street. Take a right and follow the main street for a few minutes.
- By metro, take any train to Slussen Metro Station. Proceed by walking as described above.
- By taxi, order a pick-up from your hotel or grab one stationed outside major establishments. From any of the recommended hotels, the venue is reachable by an approximate 5-10 minute journey from any location at Södermalm, Old Town or the city centre.

3. Working language
The Inaugural WHO Partners Forum will be held in the English language.
4. Registration
The Forum is an invite-only event for WHO's partners. Prospective participants can find the registration link in their official invitations. We reserve the right to decline anyone without an invitation.
5. Travel and hotel accommodation
The main airport in Stockholm is Arlanda Airport, which is located an approximately 45-minute drive from Stockholm city centre.
Transfer between Arlanda Airport and Stockholm central station is most comfortably arranged by taxi (45 min, ca
500: - SEK) or Arlanda Express train (20 min, 295: - SEK). Both taxi cars and trains are located within or close to the arrival hall in terminal 3 and 5 at the airport and can be booked on arrival.
Hotel Hilton Slussen has pre-booked 100 rooms for participants. Be advised that this does not guarantee available rooms at the time of your booking. Participants can book the hotel rooms either through the web or by contacting the hotel. The price per night is ca 2190 SEK for a single room and 2390 SEK for a double room including VAT.

Public transport
Stockholm has a well-developed public transport system consisting of regional trains, metro and busses, allowing for efficient transit between the airport, hotels and the conference venue. The transportation system is managed by Stockholms
Länstrafik (SL).
Please note that journey tickets must be purchased before boarding the metro/train/bus. Nearly all tickets are loaded on an SL Access card, which is an electronic smart card. You need to pay a fee of 20 SEK for the card itself, but you can re-use your card at future visits to Stockholm. There are single use travelcards with tickets valid 75 minutes, 24 or 72 hours. You can buy an SL Access Card at: SL Access self-service ticket machines at Metro and train stations (you need an SL Access card in advance to add your ticket to); Ticket offices at Metro and commuter rail stations; SL Center; Tickets agents displaying the SL logotype on flags or stickers.
8. Visa information
EU/EES/CH participants are subject to the Schengen agreement and free to enter Sweden for a three-month period with valid international identification.
Non-EU/EES/CH participants are obliged to obtain appropriate entry visas
to Sweden from a Swedish diplomatic or consular mission at their point of origin. In the majority of countries lacking Swedish representation, Sweden is represented by a Schengen representative country. All non-EU/EES/CH participants must hold passports
that are valid for at least three months beyond the time of their visa expires.
Please be advised that it is the responsibility of participants to obtain a visa to enter Sweden/Schengen area, if applicable. Please note that visas are generally not obtainable at the point of entry into Sweden. Visa applications can take up to two
months to be processed.

Additional visa requirements
- A passport that is valid for a minimum of 3 months after your visa has expired and which has been issued in the last ten-year period.
- An invitation from the company or the organisation arranging the conference.
- Money for your keep and for the journey home. Sweden requires that you have SEK 450 for each day spent in Sweden. You must be able to demonstrate that you have sufficient funds for your keep with the help, for example, of bank statements.
- Individual medical travel insurance which covers the costs which could arise as a result of emergency medical assistance, emergency hospitalisation or medical repatriation. The insurance should cover costs of at least EUR 30 000 and be valid in all the Schengen countries.

The Swedish currency unit is the Swedish Krona (SEK). Please check the official exchange rates at Sveriges Rikbank’s website.
Foreign currencies are exchangeable at the commercial banks and the airport.
Bank notes are available in denominations of 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 Kronor. International credit cards and travelers cheques are accepted in most establishments.
