Togo: WHO and the African Development Bank deliver equipment to boost pandemic response

8 December 2020

WHO recently delivered a large batch of medical equipment to Togo’s Ministry of Health valued at more than 130 million CFA francs, including a fully equipped medical ambulance, laboratory equipment, and personal protective equipment.

The ambulance, valued at approximately thirty-three million CFA francs, is the fruit of a collaboration between WHO and the African Development Bank (AfDB).

The other elements of the donation are part of WHO’s continued support of the COVID-19 pandemic response in Togo.

WHO thanks all donors and partners who have contributed to fund the Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan to combat COVID-19. A special appreciation goes to Member States and other contributors who provided flexible funds, making it possible for WHO to deliver a coherent, strategic and broad response.
