The tenth annual meeting of the International Regulatory Cooperation for Herbal Medicines (IRCH) took place from 11 to 13 September 2017 in Bonn, Germany, hosted by the Federal Institute for Pharmaceuticals and Medical Products, Germany.
Thirty-eight participants from governmental regulatory agencies in 22 countries and from 1 regional regulatory body for herbal medicines attended the meeting. WHO provided support to this annual meeting of IRCH as did in the past.
The progress of IRCH particularly its working groups and the proposed revised terms of reference (TORs) for IRCH were reported and discussed in the meeting. Recommendations from ICDRA were also reported and discussed. A workshop on quality and safety of raw materials of herbal medicines was organized as well. The proposed revised TORs for IRCH were adopted by all participants during the meeting.
