The WHO Global Coordination Mechanism on the Prevention and Control of NCDs has launched a new Community of Practice (CoP) on NCDs and Commercial Determinants of Health (CDoH). These virtual discussions, now held in the newly launched Knowledge Action Portal (KAP), bring together both emerging and established experts to develop knowledge, share best practices and country case studies on the focused thematic area of NCD prevention and control.

The CoP follows an introductory webinar on CDoH, co-hosted by the Global Health Centre at Graduate Institute of international and Development Studies and CPC Analytics on 20 November. The webinar brought in a range of participants from across the globe, and provided stimulating lectures from featured panellists, followed by an engaging question and answer session. A recording of the live webinar can be found in the Related link.
The new CoP aims to provide the opportunity for new perspectives, and serves as a tool to facilitate knowledge, networking, and collaborative learning. The first moderated discussion on CDoH will run until 2 December, with questions to be added over the week to gauge dialogue and participation. Interested individuals are encouraged to visit and sign up for the KAP to contribute.
