Community health officers: a promising resource in delivering comprehensive primary health care in Assam

Overview

Under the Ayushman Bharat - Health and Wellness Centres for strengthening comprehensive primary health care, Community Health Officers (CHOs) were posted at the Sub Centre-HWCs to provide these services. The study focuses on assessing the range of health care services provided by the CHOs at the SC-HWCs and the challenges to provide the way forward to strengthen this cadre and improve their functioning.
