Overview
Working in emergencies often means limited time, incomplete information and heightened importance of decisions. These stressors can negatively impact leadership, teamwork and decision-making. Since 2019, the Learning and Capacity Development (LCD) team in WHO’s Health Emergencies (WHE) programme has been working with colleagues across the world to design training for incident managers to have a greater impact in emergencies. In 2020, the programme was adapted and delivered online, which allowed us to deliver peer learning for greater self-awareness for leaders in emergencies.
