Overview

The Global Advisory Committee on Vaccine Safety (GACVS) was established in 1999 to provide independent, authoritative, scientific advice to WHO on vaccine safety issues of global or regional concern. GACVS held a virtual full meeting, on 17 September 2021 to examine safety and genetic stability data of the novel type-2 monovalent oral poliovirus (nOPV2) vaccine implemented under WHO Emergency Use Listing (EUL) in 4 countries presented to the GACVS nOPV2 sub-committee.
