Overview
The Global Advisory Committee on Vaccine Safety (GACVS) was established in 1999 to provide independent, authoritative, scientific advice to WHO on vaccine safety issues of global or regional concern. GACVS held a special virtual meeting, on 10 August 2021 to examine safety data on the RTS,S/AS01 malaria vaccine, collected through the Malaria Vaccine Pilot Evaluation (MVPE), which is the evaluation component of the Malaria vaccine implementation programme (MVIP).
