Overview

The FAO Working Party on Pesticide Residues and the WHO Expert Committee on Pesticide Residues met jointly in Geneva from 14 to 21 November 1966.  The meeting was opened by Dr Dorolle, Deputy-Director-General, WHO, on behalf of the Directors-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the World Health Organization.  Dr Coon was unanimously elected Chairman and Dr Hurtig Vice-Charmain.  Dr Terracini agreed to act as Rapporteur

The FAO Working Party on Pesticide Residues and the WHO Expert Committee on Pesticide Residues held a further meeting from 22 to 24 November 1966, under the chairmanship of Dr Hurtig, to develop recommendations for methods of analysis appropriate for detecting the amounts of pesticides represented by the tolerances proposed by the Joint meeting.
