The first addendum updates the third edition. It includes more guidance management of emergencies and unforeseen events and additions concerning chlorination by-products and developing standards for volatile substances. New fact sheets are included for chloral hydrate (trichloroacetaldehyde), dichloro-acetic acid, 1,1-cichloroethene, 1,4-dioxane, formaldehyde, mercury,methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), nickel, permethrin, petroleum products, trichloroethene and triihalomethanes.
