Overview

The purpose of this guide is to facilitate the certification of confirmed or suspected COVID-19 as a cause of death of women during pregnancy, childbirth or the puerperium. It is intended as a brief summary of the key points of international guidelines on certification of cause of deaths, as applied to this population: it should always be read in conjunction with the International Guidelines for Certification and Classification (Coding) of COVID-19 As Cause of Death.
