WHO consortium on metrics and evidence for healthy ageing
Report of the fourth annual meeting held virtually, 2–3 December 2020

Overview
The aim of this Consortium meeting was to review what had been done to develop the Baseline Report; discuss next steps in view of the strengths, gaps and opportunities identified; and discuss collaboration and strategies for moving forward on three proposed products during 2021–2023.
As a baseline for the Decade and reflecting an in-depth collaborative effort addressing three streams of work, the Report identified gaps and highlighted opportunities as key messages and policy implications. As a result, the Ageing and Health Unit within WHO’s Department of Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health and Ageing, and collaborators both in WHO and externally, identified three related products that are aligned with or derivatives of the Baseline Report. These should be drafted, tested, reviewed and completed during 2021–2023. These products, among others, will inform the next progress report for the Decade, expected in 2023.
