Pilot decision workshop to aid prioritization of resources for malaria control in Ghana
Meeting report, 12–13 September 2022
Overview
This report provides a summary of the discussions held during a 2-day workshop organized by WHO in Accra, Ghana on 12–13 September 2022. The purpose of the workshop was to generate a better understanding of the needs of Ghana's national malaria elimination programme and of the programme's capacities to undertake a structured prioritization exercise in the area of malaria vector control. The results of the is workshop provided valuable insights into the application of two tools that, jointly, have the potential to support planning for the control and management of malaria (the Socio-Technical Allocation of Resources [STAR] and the Malaria Intervention [MINT]). The main target audiences are national malaria control programmes and their implementing partners as well as donors and academic institutions.
