Use of bedaquiline in children and adolescents with multidrug- and rifampicin-resistant tuberculosis: information note

Overview

The World Health Organization (WHO) published updated guidelines and an accompanying operational handbook on the management of tuberculosis in children and adolescents in March 2022.

Two information notes have been developed which provide practical information and guidance to facilitate the implementation and uptake of novel formulations of bedaquiline and delamanid, in line with the recommendations on their use in children of all ages and related implementation guidance.
