World Health Survey Plus: mobile phone survey technical package. Software for survey implementation

Overview

This report describes software tools for conducting the World Health Survey Plus Mobile Phone Survey (WHS+ Mobile). The report has two objectives:

• Objective 1: Define required and optional features for software when conducting mobile phone surveys.
• Objective 2: Profile specific software tools for WHS+ Mobile surveys, by providing a high-level summary about each tool.

The intended audience for this document is survey staff planning a WHS+ Mobile survey and people responsible for survey programming and management. This report is meant to educate implementing agencies about survey software, not prescribe a specific software. By learning about mobile phone survey tools, implementing agencies will be better equipped to select and manage a vendor for mobile phone surveys, or to conduct the survey in-house without a vendor.
