Global health and care worker compact national assessment tool: abridged version
Overview
The Global health and care worker compact (“Care Compact”) assessment tool was developed to support countries and their stakeholders to examine how their policy and legislative environment support the four domains and 10 issue areas of the Care Compact. The cross-sectional tool comprises a series of questions to support respondents to examine in a structured way and identify country-specific status and progress against each domain and focus area. Questions include yes/no queries as well as suggestions to expand such binary responses with qualitative information and documentation.
This abridged version of the Care Compact assessment tool is comprised of 10 signal indicators and guides users in developing a basic understanding of the status of national or subnational laws and policies. It may be used to create a baseline for the full Care Compact assessment tool, which enables a comprehensive review of each area of focus and also can be used in a modular approach to understand priority issues. Both versions may be adapted to context and used selectively (i.e. only some modules) to optimize relevance and usability.
