WHO Technical Advisory Group on the responsible use of the life sciences and dual-use research: report of the meeting, 29-30 April 2025
Overview
The World Health Organization (WHO) Technical Advisory Group on the Responsible Use of the Life Sciences and Dual-Use Research (TAG-RULS DUR) was established to provide independent advice to WHO on the monitoring and mitigation of biorisks, the advances in the life sciences and related technologies, the governance of dual-use research and the responsible use of the life sciences.
The meeting held from 29 to 30 April 2025 was the sixth overall meeting of the TAG-RULS DUR. The objectives were to exchange information on WHO and related TAG activities and topics relevant to TAG-RULS DUR; to discuss current and upcoming activities of the project on the responsible use of the life sciences and dual-use research; and to provide independent and strategic advice to WHO.
