Management of radioactivity in drinking-water

Overview
Chapter 9 of the WHO Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality (GDWQ) provides guidance related to radiological aspects of drinking-water. Management of radioactivity in drinking-water responds to Member States requests for additional guidance to support radionuclide management in drinking-water in emergency and non-emergency situations. It takes into account the experience and knowledge gained with implementation of WHO guidance on radiological aspects included in the GDWQ.
The guidance has been written in the format of stand-alone Q&As, to enable stakeholders to easily focus on issues of interest. The guidance is complemented by case studies, to illustrate how some countries have managed issues with radioactivity in drinking-water.
