National-level monitoring of the achievement of universal access to reproductive health: conceptual and practical considerations and related indicators
Report of a WHO/UNFPA technical consultation
Overview
A WHO and UNFPA technical consultation was convened 13–15 March 2007 to consider national-level monitoring of progress towards the achievement of universal access to reproductive health. The consultation recommended, within a clearly specified framework, a set of indicators to monitor progress towards the goal of universal access to sexual and reproductive health at country level.
The framework produced in this report includes indicators of the main aspects of sexual and reproductive health, as defined in the Global Strategy. These outputs provide useful information and tools for monitoring progress towards achieving various aspects of sexual and reproductive health or health care, and have been used for various purposes.
