Overview
Access to Medical Products in the WHO South-East Asia Region 2025 is a biennial publication documenting progress and challenges in ensuring equitable access to essential medicines and health products in South-East Asia. It provides a comprehensive overview of trends in health spending, pharmaceutical legislation, intellectual property rights, procurement and pricing policies, and rational use of medicines, while also reviewing regional efforts to address antimicrobial resistance and strengthen regulatory systems.
This edition gives special attention to access to noncommunicable disease medicines and essential penicillin formulations, highlighting gaps and opportunities through regional analysis and country profiles. It serves as a key reference for policymakers, regulators and partners working to advance universal health coverage and strengthen health systems across the Region.
