The Report of the Regional Director: The work of WHO in the Western Pacific Region, 1 July 2025 − 30 June 2026, highlights progress achieved through the collective efforts of Member States, communities, partners and WHO in the Region. Against a backdrop of intersecting challenges – including rising noncommunicable and infectious diseases, climate-related threats and economic pressures – WHO has supported countries and areas to advance progress across the priorities of the regional vision, Weaving Health for Families, Communities and Societies in the Western Pacific Region (2025−2029). The report showcases achievements in primary health care to improve the quality and accessibility of services, as well as the work to strengthen resilience and capacity of communities and health systems to handle the challenges of today while preparing for whatever the future holds. WHO, Member States and other partners continue to work as one towards universal health coverage and their shared vision of Weaving Health for All of the Region’s more than 2.2 billion people.
