Mauritania: Ebola Preparedness Strengthening Team country visit

Overview

WHO responded to a request from the Mauritanian Health Ministry to dispatch an international team on a preparedness support mission, between 10 and 14 November 2014. The team met with stakeholders (the Ministry of Health, United Nations agencies, technical and financial partners) at bilateral and multilateral meetings. Main strengths and weaknesses were identified and recommendations were made to improve immediate response capacity for an Ebola virus disease epidemic.
