WHO Global Clinical Trials Forum, Geneva, 20-21 November 2023: summary of proceedings

This report offers a summary of the discussions during the first Global Clinical Trials Forum (GCTF) where experts from 43 countries deliberated on how to strengthen clinical research capabilities.  

The report highlights critical challenges in global clinical trials, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, where disparities in infrastructure and investment hinder progress. It also outlines key strategies to enhance inclusivity, coordination, and sustainability in clinical research, with a focus on underrepresented populations and global health challenges.
