WHO Regional Office organizes an Expert Group Consultation on young child diets

Overview

Optimal child feeding improves child survival, growth and development. The increasing availability, accessibility and promotion of commercial complementary foods, low cost commercially processed or ultra-processed snack foods, which are not expressly meant for children but often given to children as snacks or main meals, has become a common feature in WHO South-East Asia Region countries.
