HeRAMS Central African Republic status update report May 2025: Operational status of the health system

A comprehensive mapping of the operational status of health service delivery units

Overview

The Health Resources and Services Availability Monitoring System (HeRAMS) aims to provide decision-makers and health stakeholders at large with vital and up-to-date information on the availability of essential health resources and services, help them identify gaps, and determine priorities for intervention.

HeRAMS has been deployed in the Central African Republic since January 2022 and has allowed for the assessment of 1083 health service delivery units (HSDUs) across the country. The information presented in this report is derived from data reported up to 31 May 2025. While this HeRAMS deployment remains ongoing and data verification and validation continue, the analysis presented here is not final and has been produced solely to inform operations.

This is the first report of the HeRAMS Central African Republic status update May 2025 report series, focusing on the operational status of HSDUs, including the level and type of support provided by partners and the availability of basic amenities.
