Overview
In 2015, the Sixty-eighth World Health Assembly (WHA) endorsed the Global Action Plan (GAP) on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). The plan was further endorsed by the World Assembly of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) Delegates in May 2015 and by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Conference in June 2015. The GAP AMR provides a framework of actions across five objectives for three stakeholder groups (Member States, the Secretariat and national/international partners) to take over the next five to ten years, and for countries to develop national action plans (NAPs).
