COVAX Objectives

Since it was launched in 2020, COVAX has pivoted in focus from the discovery of COVID-19 vaccines to supply and delivery. 

Developed in light of the ongoing pandemic and the WHO target for countries to vaccinate 70% of their population against COVID-19, COVAX's updated objectives serve the overarching aspiration of enabling equitable, full vaccination of all adult and adolescent populations globally.

Achieving these goals will reduce the impact of the ongoing pandemic, allow economies and societies to function, and guard against the future evolution of the virus.
