Decision of the Independent Allocation of Vaccines Group on the allocation of COVAX Facility secured vaccines: 22 November 2021

Overview

This Vaccine Allocation Decision (VAD) presentation contains information on the twelfth round, which was dedicated to the allocation of around 20 million doses of SII-Covishield vaccine and around 23 million doses of Moderna vaccine. The JAT proceeded to allocate these quantities rapidly to allow their deliveries before the end of this year. The IAVG (eleven out of 12 members) validated this allocation on a non-objection basis on 22 November 2021 according to amounts detailed in the Round 12 output results. The Joint Allocation Task Force provided further information and details as requested by the IAVG during the 48 hours review timeframe.
