Democratic Republic of the Congo: WHO Health Emergency Appeal 2025

Overview

The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued a revised appeal of US$52 million to address the worsening health and humanitarian crisis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). WHO’s response strategy focuses on three core pillars: ensuring rapid and effective health emergency response; enhancing emergency preparedness; and preventing epidemics and pandemics. The revised appeal reflects evolving needs and supersedes the WHO health emergency appeal for DRC published on 16 January.
