Experiences of hospital management and outbreak control in the context of COVID-19 outbreak and reflections on lessons learned from Hong Kong, Singapore and the Republic of Korea

Overview

On 22 April 2020, the World Health Organization hosted an EPI-WIN COVID-19 webinar. Participants included medical practitioners from a range of clinical specialisms and policymakers. They represented a number of organizations such as hospitals, universities and research institutes, professional bodies and academic societies, United Nations agencies and other international organizations, national government departments and agencies, non-governmental organizations, labour unions, and the private sector. The objective of the webinar was to share experiences in managing cases of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) both within and outside clinical settings, including notable success stories from the Western Pacific Region in particular. Participants had the opportunity to reflect on lessons learned, and how they can be applied in their own contexts.
