Rationale for a health metric in monitoring progress towards the GGA A health metric under the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA) is essential for assessing implementation of the Paris Agreement. First, it supports the recognition of the right to health under this Agreement and supports the recognition by the UN General Assembly of the human right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment (Resolution 76/300). Second, it supports party Commitments under the UNFCCC (Article 4.1).
