HeRAMS Annual Report 2020

Overview

During 2020, the Health Resources and Services Availability Monitoring System (HeRAMS) Initiative has continued its effort to increase availability of core information on essential health resources and services and make this information available to decision-makers at country, regional and global level.

Over the course of 2020, substantial efforts were made to reinforce and strengthen monitoring capacities in countries with existing HeRAMS processes. By the end of the year, HeRAMS counted a total of 20 projects, covering more than 55’000 health facilities and close to 4’800 data contributors, informing decision-makers on a wide variety of contexts including preparedness, response, recovery, and development.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, a dedicated module was developed to support monitoring of the COVID-19 response capacities at the country level.

This report summarizes main activities and key achievements for the year 2020.
