Overview
The Health Resources and Services Availability Monitoring System (HeRAMS) supports countries in standardizing and continuously collecting, analyzing, and disseminating information on the functioning of the health system as a whole and, more specifically, on the availability of essential health services and the barriers to their provision.
This infographic analyzes the impact of disasters on health systems across 19 countries. Findings show that health facilities in disaster-prone areas are almost twice as likely to experience operational disruptions, with 13% of those impacted by disasters over the past 5 years remaining non-operational.
