Influenza at the human-animal interface summary and assessment, 1 March 2022

Overview

From 22 January to 1 March 2022, eight human cases of infection with avian influenza A(H5N6) viruses, six human cases of infection with avian influenza A(H9N2) viruses, and one human case of infection with an influenza A(H1N1) variant virus were reported officially. One human case of infection with an influenza A(H1N2) variant virus was also detected.
