Influenza at the human-animal interface summary and assessment, 30 August 2022

Overview

From 28 June to 30 August 2022, one human case of infection with an avian influenza A(H5N6) virus, one human case of infection with an avian influenza A(H9N2) virus, one human case of infection with an influenza A(H1N2) variant virus and one human case of infection with an influenza A(H3N2) variant virus were reported officially. Additionally, one human case of infection with an influenza A(H1N2) variant virus and two human cases of infection with influenza A(H3N2) variant viruses were detected.
