ATC 50th Executive Summary
50th Meeting of the WHO International Working Group For Drug Statistics Methodology
Overview
During the 50th Meeting of the WHO International Working Group for Drug Statistics Methodology totally 63 ATC 5th level codes were established in addition to one new ATC 4th level.
2 ATC code objections were discussed resulting in maintenance of the temporary ATC codes. Different ATC alteration issues were discussed resulting in one new ATC 4th level, 3 new ATC 5th levels and 5 ATC level name changes. The temporary new classification of Monoclonal antibodies and antibody drug conjugates (ATC group L01F) was confirmed.
12 new DDDs for single substances were assigned in addition to 6 DDDs for combination products. Three DDD alterations were discussed, one of the DDDs were maintained, one was altered, and one was deferred for future discussion. 7 DDDs were decided deleted in connection with ATC classification changes.
All new temporary ATC codes and alterations are published at the ATC/DDD Centre’s website (https://www.whocc.no/) and in WHO Drug Information (https://www.who.int/our-work/access-to-medicines-and-health-products/who-drug-information) with deadline for objections 1st February 2022.
