INN 82nd Executive Summary

During the 82nd INN Consultation, 292 INN requests were discussed, including:

• 266 new INN requests, of which 161 were for biological substances (including 52 with a chemical component)

• 21 outstanding requests

• 5 objections and 1 request of substitution

As a result of these discussions, 275 new names were selected, which are planned to be published in Lists 136 of proposed INN (p.INN) and 135 (for COVID-19-related requests only). Two requests did not fulfil INN criteria (No INN), 5 were withdrawn by the applicant and 10 requests were deferred for future discussion.

One new substem was selected, 8 suffixes were promoted to the pre-stems list and it was decided to review the description of 5 stems before the 83rd INN Consultation.
