Overview
WHO has developed and published several guidance documents and tools for risk assessments. These use similar concepts but differ in their scope, objectives, hazard range (e.g. disease-specific versus all-hazards), context of use, geographical scope, time frame for use and target users. The MS-RRA tool should primarily be used when an event may have serious public health implications, requires further follow up and when response actions are not already prescribed (e.g. based on a hazard specific standard operating procedure).
The tool consists of two sections : the Worksheet and the Output sheet, the document below consists of the word document of the tool that the users can use to perform their own rapid risk assessment.
