Ninth report of the Strategic and Technical Advisory Group for Neglected Tropical Diseases (STAG-NTDs)

Overview

The ninth meeting of the Strategic and Technical Advisory Group for Neglected Tropical Diseases (STAG-NTD) was held at Château de Penthes, Geneva, Switzerlandon 12–13 April 2016.

Dr Ren Minghui, Assistant Director-General,HIV, Tuberculosis, Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases,opened the meetingby welcomingall STAG membersand other participants on behalf of WHO. Dr Dirk Engels, Director, WHO Department of Control of Neglected Tropical Diseases, added his welcome and introduced the Chairperson, Professor Nilanthi de Silva. Professorde Silva also welcomed the members and noted thosewho could not be present. At the Chairperson’s request, all those present introduced themselves.Professor Eric Fèvre and Dr Uzoma Nwankwowere elected as Rapporteurs.
