occupied Palestinian territory: WHO Health Emergency Appeal 2026
30 January 2026
| Donor alert
Overview
Humanitarian and health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territory have sharply deteriorated since October 2023, following prolonged conflict and widespread destruction. In 2026, 2.9 million people will require humanitarian health assistance, with 2.4 million targeted for health support, as displacement, damaged infrastructure and access restrictions continue to undermine care. The health system in Gaza remains severely degraded, while violence and movement restrictions in the West Bank limit access to services. WHO is delivering life-saving health care, supporting medical evacuations and sustaining essential services amid ongoing constraints.
