Quadripartite secretariat WHO chair's annual report

Overview

In March 2022, the World Health Organization (WHO) assumed the Chair of the Quadripartite and its Secretariat. The Quadripartite agreed to work together to further strengthen efforts in One Health at a global, regional, national, and local level, and thus to achieve a unified vision with its Quadripartite partner organizations, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH, founded as OIE), WHO launched a Vision Paper to outline its vision and strategic priorities during its chairmanship. Great strides have since been made under WHO’s leadership over the past year, to continue the success of previous years and further improve collaboration amongst the four organizations. The following report outlines the progress against each strategic priority made by WHO, together with the Quadripartite partners, during its time as Chair.
