Overview

The submodule 6.4, “Household out-of-pocket spending”, explains out-of-pocket  (OOP) spending, describing its various forms,  characteristics, country examples, main associated types of revenues (FS) and institutional units (financing agents FA and units providing revenues to the schemes FS.RI), frequently used data sources for health accounts and notes for the correct identification and accounting of OOP spending in health accounts.
