Syrian Arab Republic: WHO Health Emergency Appeal 2025

Overview

Years of conflict, socioeconomic decline and the high number of displaced persons within the country have severely strained and weakened the health system and essential services. Almost 15 million people needed urgent health care assistance in 2024, and this number is estimated to rise to 16.7 million in 2025. WHO is closely monitoring the evolving political situation to ensure a swift and agile response to the country’s growing health needs.
